Privacy Policy

Last updated 26 August 2026

Krasis has no account and no server of its own. What you eat stays on your iPhone. The one thing that can leave it is a single food word, only if you switch that on and only when you tap the button that does it.

This policy covers the Krasis iPhone app, its widget and its Apple Watch app (together, “the app”), published by Georgios Stavropoulos (“we”). It explains what the app stores, what it doesn't, and the third parties involved.

What stays on your device

Everything you put into Krasis is stored locally on your iPhone and is never sent to us:

This data is held in the app's own storage on the device. It is not synced to iCloud by the app, not shared with anyone, and not used for advertising or profiling. Deleting the app removes it. Because it is only on your device, we cannot retrieve it for you, and we cannot delete it on your behalf.

The widget and the Apple Watch app show your most recent read. To do that, the iPhone app keeps a small copy of just that one read — the meal text, which compounds were in it, and when a check-back is due — in storage shared with the widget, and sends the same to your paired Watch directly over Apple's device-to-device link. It goes to your own devices and nowhere else; none of it reaches us or any third party.

What Krasis does not collect

Notifications

The “still full?” check-back is a local notification: your iPhone schedules and delivers it by itself, from a time the app works out on the device. The meal it asks about never leaves your phone. Permission is asked only after your first meal, and the app works without it.

Separately, the app uses OneSignal so that we can send occasional announcements — a new feature, or a reminder if you started using the check-back and stopped. For this, OneSignal holds:

What OneSignal never receives: any meal, any food, any check-back answer, your kitchen, your name, your email address, or a count of how much you eat. The labels above are deliberately coarse for that reason. OneSignal's handling is governed by OneSignal's Privacy Policy.

Turning “Still full?” off in Settings stops both: no local check-backs are scheduled, and the app unsubscribes you from announcements. Declining the notification permission means neither ever happens.

Looking a food up

This is off until you turn it on, in Settings → “Look up foods I type”. With it off, nothing about your food ever leaves the phone and the rest of this section does not apply to you.

With it on, a food Krasis does not recognise gets a “Look it up” button. Tapping it sends that single word — and nothing else — to Open Food Facts, a public food database, over an ordinary web request. So: the word ketchup, never “pastitsio, two eggs and a coffee”, never the time, never any identifier for you or your device beyond what any web request necessarily reveals, such as your IP address, to Open Food Facts.

It only ever happens on that tap. There is no background lookup, nothing on launch, and nothing speculative. What comes back is shown to you to confirm before it is used, and your confirmed answer is stored on your phone like any other. Open Food Facts' handling is governed by their privacy policy.

Purchases

Krasis Plus is an in-app purchase. Two parties are involved and neither gives us your identity.

We use the resulting aggregate figures — how many people subscribed, which of two paywall wordings converted better — to decide what to build. Those figures are counts. They are not linked to any identity, and nothing you eat is ever part of them.

Children

Krasis is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and similar laws you have rights of access, correction, deletion and portability over personal data held about you. In practice, the data Krasis creates is on your device and under your control: deleting the app deletes it. For purchase records held by RevenueCat or Apple, contact us and we will help you reach the right party.

Changes

This policy may change as the app gains features — for example, if voice entry is added, this page will say what happens to what you say. Updates are published here with a new “last updated” date.
