Hexis Habit Tracker — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 22 July 2026
Hexis is a calm, private habit tracker for iOS and watchOS. It is built to keep your data yours. This page explains, in plain terms, what the app does and does not do with your information.
The short version
- We don’t collect anything. Hexis has no accounts, no analytics, no ads, no tracking, and no third‑party SDKs. The developer never receives your data.
- Your habits and history live on your device, and — only if you leave iCloud sync on — in your own private iCloud account.
- Apple Health data is read on your device to auto‑track habits and is never transmitted anywhere.
What data the app handles
- Habits and logs — the habits you create and their daily progress. Stored locally on your device using Apple’s SwiftData.
- iCloud sync (optional) — if enabled, your habits sync through your own private iCloud database (Apple CloudKit) so your iPhone and Apple Watch stay in step. This data is stored in your personal iCloud account under Apple’s terms; the developer has no access to it. You can turn sync off in Settings.
- Apple Health (optional) — if you link a habit to a Health metric (steps, water, calories, sugar, mindful minutes, and similar), the app reads those daily totals from HealthKit on your device to fill in that habit. This data is used only to compute your progress and is never sent off the device or shared. You grant and can revoke this access in the iOS Health app.
- Reminders — reminder times you set are used to schedule local notifications on your device. No reminder data leaves the device.
- Focus timer / Shortcuts — timer sessions and any Shortcuts/Siri actions you run act only on your local habit data.
What we do not do
- We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal data.
- We do not use analytics, advertising, crash‑reporting, or tracking services.
- We do not require an account or your email address to use the app.
Bug reports and feature requests
If you choose to report a bug or suggest a feature from within the app, it opens a GitHub issue in this repository. Anything you type there — and the basic app/device info the template includes (app version, iOS version, device model) — becomes part of a public GitHub issue. Please don’t include personal information you don’t want to be public. Filing an issue is entirely optional.
Your controls
- Turn iCloud sync on or off in Settings › Apple Health / Data.
- Grant or revoke Health access in the iOS Health app › Sharing.
- Manage notification permissions in iOS Settings.
- Delete any habit — or the app — to remove its data from the device (and, if you sync, from your iCloud).
Children’s privacy
Hexis does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children, because it does not collect data at all.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date.
